New Bedford Museum of Glass

The New Bedford Museum of Glass in New Bedford, Massachusetts is one of the organizations the Club has supported financially. Last year, the Club made a contribution to the New Bedford Museum as part of a program to purchase glass display cases for their new location. The two photographs in this Gazette, sent to us by Kirk Nelson, the Executive Director of the Museum, show the plaque acknowledging the Club’s contribution as well as the Carder Steuben pieces in the Museum’s collection. Many of these pieces have been donated by members of the Club. Kirk was the opening speaker for the 2010 Symposium.

More information about the New Bedford Museum of Glass can be found on their web site www.nbmog.org. If you are interested in making a monetary or glass donation to the Museum, Kirk may be contacted through the web site.
