First, an answer to a prior question.

Hi Alan

You are correct. There is no Tiffany Studios club or group to my knowledge. I have had dinner many times when some of the better auction houses take out their best clients and many times they do not even talk to each other…….very awkward!

Then the question

Alan –

Lenox china was made in at least a couple of patterns that matched engraved patterns on Carder Steuben stemware (Fountain and Mystic, for example). While researching these Lenox china patterns, I have discovered that the backstamp on the reverse of the pieces of china varies (text and color), with some indication that the backstamp variations might indicate different periods of manufacture. Can anyone explain these backstamp variations to me or point me to reference sources which would explain them? Thank you.
