From Rande Bly of Birmingham, Alabama
Well my first piece of what I am calling Window Glass Green arrived today. I was able to see it’s green color in the e-bay photo and it was listed as clear. It is truly a beautiful color. It does look like Clear Crystal until careful inspection. The color is very delicate just like moonlight. I have a glass top night stand that is 3/4 of an inch thick and the sun hits it in the morning. It emits the natural window glass green color profusely at the edges yet it is still clear when looked through. The Lemonade emits the exact same shade of color in a very delicate example. People will call this color clear at times easy enough. Look at he top rim down into the piece and you will clearly see the faint pale green color. Sure enough the footed Lemonade came decorated with the blue handle. We are seeing this window green color show up with it’s blue decorations.
The blue has been referred to as Celeste Blue. We can probably do some further checking on that.
Be careful not to confuse Celadon with Window Glass Green. Celadon is decidedly darker and obviously colored. Window Glass is nothing much more than a hint of color, defiantly appearing a faint common window glass green color when viewed from certain angles and most often clear at other angles.
This color may carry another additional color name also used to identify this color shade but it is clear to me why it would be called Window Glass Green.
