2012 SYMPOSIUM CHAIR NEEDED

The 2011 Carder Symposium was a great success. Scott Hansen, our Vice President, served as Chair of this Symposium and has served as Chair (or co-chair) of the Symposium for the last four years. He is stepping down as Chair of the Symposium but remaining Vice-President.

At the Symposium I asked for a volunteers to serve as Chair of the 2012 Symposium and to serve on a Symposium Committee. I’m happy to report that several people (including Scott) offered to help with the Committee, but no one stepped up to be Chair. We really need someone to take the lead for this project.

The Club has had a great year in 2011 (including adding 25 new members so far). However, the continued success of the Club is dependent on participation by its members. Some of us (including me) have been involved from the beginning but we need to expand the group of participating members. There are many ways in which each of you can get involved but our most pressing need now is for someone to chair the 2012 Symposium.

You may volunteer to Chair the 2012 Symposium by contacting either Scott or me. We will help you get started and will assist throughout the year.
