In our last Gazette did I say put the next Symposium on your calendar? Did I give you a date in October of 2012? I did. My mistake. The date is September 20-22, 2012. Thanks to those who read the Gazette like Becky Stranges of Bath, New York and Beth Shaut for catching that.
Paper weight artist Debbie Tarsitano asks the question of what CMoG will do with the vacated space upon the closing of the Steuben factory. Debbie, of course having trained at the Studio is eyeing that space. The Carder Steuben Club asked the President of the Museum this question angling to expand the Carder Gallery. The best we could learn from Karol Wight, the new executive director of CMoG is that there are about 37 requests or groups posturing for that space. Perhaps that’s a figure of speech and the true number is much larger. I guess the press corps isn’t ready yet to let us know.
Now, for a few more Symposium pictures.
