Scott Hansen of Briarcliff Manor, New York who started the questioning on his umber vase responds to the many comments.
Thank you for the comments and advice about my burnt umber project. For the time being, I’ve decided to leave the piece “dirty and in need of a good cleaning.” I’m going to bring the piece to the Symposium this fall (September 15-17) and let the group see it in person. Perhaps we will take a group vote on how to proceed. I’d provide a photograph for everyone else but my photography skills and equipment aren’t sufficient to show the contrast between the existing umber and the alabaster much less show the pattern. Thanks again.
