Franz Hellwig of New Orleans recently asked the question about identifying a plate with Steuben like coloration that was engraved with a religious motif.

We’ve had a lot of commentary and exchange of knowledge. This included suggestions that the engraving was/was not done by Max Ehrlacher. Suggestions that that the plate was Carder Steuben and then Morgantown. The last Gazette had Dean Six at the West Virginia Museum of Glass in Weston, West Virginia strongly suggest the plate was a product of Morgantown Glass. As a result of this search mission and exchange of ideas Franz sends out this note of thanks, along with a comment that he’ll personally check with Max Ehrlacher to see if he has any records on it.

Well thanks for the super sleuthing. Great jobs guys! Franz
