Franz Hellwig of New Orleans asks

Alan, Any idea what this is? Thanks, Franz Hellwig

The blank looks like Steuben or Sinclair, but Corning felt it was more European in context and probably took around 100 hours to engrave, so not a production piece. It is 9″ in diameter and would be a Steuben amber with Celeste rim in color. Not as dark as topaz.

the engraving is something to behold, feeling like a religious theme with great detail. I am guessing an exhibition or personal piece, as I can’t imagine taking this kind of time engraving a glass plate.
