Little treasure – almost

Last week David Goldstein asked if anyone knew about markings of the letter “H” on the metal handles on flat ware. I had one response on what that may be; however, I developed computer problems and have lost and can’t seem to retrieve that e-mail. If you sent it, please send again. Meanwhile Bea Weiskopf shares her story on a great find.

Hello Alan

I thought I would share a lovely little vase found among regular household items while doing an appraisal. The vase is 5″, marked Aurene. Unfortunately it had been broken and glued, but is still beautiful (just not as beautiful as it could have been). The color is dark pink – red aurene with leaf & vine and millefiore. Is this shape #549?

Thanks for all of the great information.
