We’ve been showing the copy labels that were prepared in conjunction with last summer’s Carder Steuben exhibit at the University of Southern Indiana. Here is another.
Fan Vase
Decorated Iridized Lead Glass
The decorated Aurenes in only the premier blue and gold were reintroduced after a ten year hiatus in production. Although Mr. Carder believed that the Aurene glass needed no embellishment, this Fan Vase has a loose heart and vine pattern. The fan vase was produced in many different shape numbers, styles, and colors and proved to be popular during the era of Art Deco style.
Technical Note: Art Deco style was purely inspired by trends in the Decorative Arts and high fashion as well as advances in technology and modes of travel.
