I have made a mistake. The color of the 8026 lamp is Gold Purple.

Greg Merkel responds to identification of Norman Skolnick’s yellow vase.

Regarding Norman’s yellow object, it would be interesting to know whether or not it fluoresces under UV. That might at least tell us if it is colored by uranium on the one hand, or perhaps by either cadmium sulfide or lead tin oxide on the other. It doesn’t really look like a uranium yellow in the photos, but pictures can be deceiving. Carder’s Jade Yellow is, of course, colored by uranium. Cadmium sulfide could be Carder, Tiffany, or Bohemian (and probably others, including contemporary). Lead tin oxide might suggest Chinese. I look forward to hearing other suggestions – it’s a very interesting piece!

Finally, Gwen Stebbins has a question about a footed salt.

Ok, I have a question to ask the Club and I know there is no shortage of opinions here lol.

Is the regular size pink salt with alabaster foot a rarity or do you see them fairly often? I saw one at the Miami show and the dealer was asking A LOT of money for one. I have a master salt in this same coloration on eBay with a reserve of less than $100!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
