In a recent Gazette Rande Bly pictured a red vase from Skinner’s auction house which he said was a Carder Steuben vase in the pattern Medieval. He pointed out it is pictured in Ericson’s book, Book 2 at page 75. Likewise, in Dimitroff’s book under “Interpreting Steuben Glass Works’ Line Drawings” the Medieval pattern is shown at p. 263 under shape #3273.

Yesterday Barb Iglewski sent a photo share in Gazette #1016 of a black Medieval vase and she said it had an original paper label.

Now this from Jo Ann Godawa of Bellevue, Nebraska.

This black Medieval Vase was identified at the Symposium as having been made by Sinclair. It was sold to me as Steuben. Did Sinclair copy FC’s Design and make this vase in other colors as well?

To those who attended the Symposium, perhaps you can help or clarify.
