Beth Jacques of Brooklyn responds to the death of Thomas Buechner

Thank you, Alan, I had not heard this. I’ve read his books and some articles. A truly accomplished man.

I collect glassware designed by his son Thomas Jr. and blown by Lino Tagliapietra. The Brooklyn is of course my local museum: There was a recent article in “The Atlantic” about the collection of NYC-architectural stonework he and OK Harris rescued, now “edited” by the Brooklyn and most of it placed at auction.

Regards,

Nettie Eller wants to keep those price stickers on her glass

I have an Steuben Aurene vase and it has on the bottom a label for the price of $5.00 when new. I would never remove that sales tag. I think it is great that I have the orig. paper price it was quite a find. Nettie Eller (new member)

On the other hand Fran Gabel of Morristown, New Jersey

There is a product called Goo Gone, sold in supermarkets, comes in a spray, for taking off labels. Works pretty good. Fran Gabel
