Jun 12, 2010
Issue 885

Stephen Gleissner, from the Wichita Museum, a major repository of Steuben glass, participates in last weeks riddle about who is presenting at the Carder Steuben Club’s 2010 Symposium.

Okay, I know it’s not musician, so am I being counted under curator, Ph.D., or author ?

(just kidding)

Looking forward to the Symposium,

S.

A Symposium Query

What do 2 museum executive directors, 2 curators, 8 library professionals, 3 authors, a PhD, a magician, a couple of antiques dealers, and a few retirees, among others, have in common? They all will be participating in the Tenth Annual Carder Steuben Club Symposium starting Thursday afternoon, September 23 and continuing through the banquet and glass auction Saturday evening, September 25. Full details of all the events and registration materials will be mailed to club members in early July. The materials will be available to others shortly thereafter.

There is a special reason to return your registration materials quickly this year. We only have 30 slots available for one of the sessions and those slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. All of the details will be in the registration materials.

Hotel reservations for the Symposium at discounted rates can be made at the Radisson Corning (607-962-5000) or the Comfort Inn (607-962-1515) or at the Hillcrest Manor Bed and Breakfast (607-936-4548). To receive the discounted rate, just indicate that you are participating in the Carder Steuben Club Symposium when you register.
