THE BALTIMORE SHOW
Lon Knickerbocker reports on the Baltimore Show and other goings on.
Show was great, Baltimore bottle show. First time I have done the show in 6 years, very hard to get in, I usually go with another guy as his helper, but decided to do the show this year. Bottle shows are a great place to buy, many people think bottle shows are all about bottles which of course could not be further from the truth, I know you know this. I had 1- 8′ table and did 3 grand and bought very well. On the way down I bought a RS Prussia chocolate pot in the “snowbirds” pattern for $420. in mint condition, a single pitcher is known and a few other pieces, major collectors are telling me $8000-$10,000. I also bought a great piece of Val St. Lambert in amethyst cut to clear with the upper portion being done in a acid cut back butterfly design, just a killer piece, $225. And the best piece I bought may be another piece of art glass, it looks possibly french with amazing tree like stems decorated with all kinds and colors of millifiori flowers,$116, it was a hell of a 5 days. People don’t get it, you just don’t find stuff like this on e-bay.
