Issue 730
Rod Aftuck of Atlanta questioned the integrity of a plaque of a fishing scene which bore the name F. Carder, which name appears to be on a plaque on the piece. Rod said this piece of glass isn’t Frederick Carder’s work. Then Paula Ellman responded saying this may not be the work of F. Carder, but may be inscribed as a desk set or something similar. Paula could well be right and this raises interesting questions as to what it is and who made this piece of glass. Rod Aftuck comes back with several questions.
Could it be our F. Carder or another one?
Do you think the base was to something that was a Carder piece and perhaps broke and now was replaced by this boat scene?
