Issue 584
But first, Dick Stark of Bethesda, Maryland raises this disturbing issue on marks, as applied to Carder Steuben or any other maker of glass.
how valuable is a post prod mk which is so easily and successfully reproducible ? a dealer in n.y. of whom i know has probably signed as many pieces as carder. he’s not alone either. i can see the meaning it would have if you have personal knowledge of it.
Then Rod Aftuck of Atalanta raises this issue.
I have a what if scenario…If the current Steuben in Corning producing clear as we know it where to close or perhaps move its operations to China as a result of the economy. What would happen to the value of Carder and Modern Steuben?
