Stephen Gleissner, curator at the Wichita Museum provides some clarity on the showing of the third segment in Wichita, featuring Carder Steuben glass. Yes, it will be shown on many PBS stations tonight, but not all.
Greetings Alan,
You are right: Roadshow episodes air at the discretion of local PBS affiliates.
The Wichita segment that contains the Steuben feature airs in south central Kansas
for the first time tonight. I can’t wait to see it ! Fortunately, it does not include an
interview with me. They aren’t keen on having museum staff in their discussions.
The Steuben interview is conducted between Arlie Sulka and Mark Whalberg.
The objects discussed were chosen by the producers in Boston . I was very impressed
by how much work and thought they put into their features.
Best,
Stephen
