Pottery, Glass & Brass Salesman and glass trade journals

Information from The Rakow Library at the Corning Museum of Glass. (CMoG)
“The Pottery, Glass & Brass Salesman” was a trade journal – aimed at manufacturers and those selling such items. It was published from 1909-1942.
The Rakow Library has both the original journal Pottery, Glass & Brass Salesman, as well as other glass trade journals (China, Glass & Lamps; Crockery and Glass Journal, etc.), in addition to having 2 files of copies of pages from about 1905-1932, found in both glass trade journals and other magazines, which had paragraphs and articles on Steuben. As your club knows, articles and ads as well are so useful in documenting production and promotion of various items.
Some of our materials are available through interlibrary loan – trade journals on microfilm, as well as the J. Stanley Brothers’ folder on Carder Steuben, which has been microfilmed and the item is loaned as microfiche. (The folder in our vertical file has to be used in the library.) For those who come to the symposium and the library, we will be happy to show these resources.
