First, the Corning Museum of Glass takes pride in being listed as one of the 150 great architectural buildings in the U.S.
Museum Built in Google Earth
In February, Mason Thrall from Google contacted us about building a 3D model of our building for Google Earth. This was part of an effort by Google to create 3D models of America’s 150 favorite buildings, of which our Museum is one (according to a poll conducted by The American Institute of Architects). We provided them with photos of the building’s exterior, and they recently completed the model. You can see the model of the Museum at sketchup.google.com MORE
Next, do you wonder what is ongoing on the Club’s website? Webmaster Mark Buffa has been busy at work updating and upgrading the site. Take a look at
www.brokenshards.homestead.com/ACB/FrederickCarderACBPatternIndex.html
Even though it says “Under Construction” click on the blue descriptions of Acid Etched Patterns.
You can see that Mark is in the process of loading pictures of a wide variety of acb patterns for identification.
