1. Great article in Friday’s New York Times on Frederick Carder attached. It is
driven by the Carder exhibition at Steuben’s flagship NY, Madison Ave. store.
Great reading.
2. While most of you are aware, but because it isn’t on eBay you should take a
look at the October 28 & October 29 Fall Auction by Early’s. see.
www.earlyauctionco.com
We should note that Steve and Paula Early are great supporters of Carder
Steuben. Their auctions always have a good representation of Carder glass. To
try and encourage new collectors they have been offering free Carder Club
memberships to auction participants. A wonderful gesture.
3. Tom Dimitroff will be speaking at the Evansville Museum on October 8.

See a couple of pictures from the exhibit attached.
4. As you may know of exhibits or other news of interest to Steuben collectors,
pass it back for dissemination.
Thanks to John Kohut he has brought our attention to the following article that
appeared this weekend in the Corning papers about a Steuben piano. Take a look.

Any news that may be relevant to Carder Club members, pass on. Or any
exhibits or other news of interest.
Also, let us know of any names that should be added to our e-mail newsletter
list. We’re trying to build this data base and know there must be many more
interested collectors out there.
Just to tempt you a little. One of our programs for next year’s Symposium,
Sept. 16 & 17 of 2006 will be a workshop on lighting and display of art glass.
