In 1985, a video illustrating how Carder Steuben gaffers achieved various distinctive techniques was created and produced for The Rockwell Museum. It features Tom Buechner, Jr. at the bench in his Vitrix Hot Glass Studio on Market Street in Corning. It was produced by now CSGA treasurer, Jensen Monroe, when she was a staff member at The Rockwell Museum. The 14-minute film ran continuously in the Rotary Gallery from 1985 to 2000 amidst thousands of examples of Carder Steuben glass from the Rockwell collections. Ann Michel, principal at Insights Video Productions (the maker of the film) has given CSGA permission to use it on our website as an educational tool.
